Carmel vs April Davids
Pro-style Contest
The very first match on this show was certainly given to a couple of ladies who know their way around the Professional Wrestling ring.
Carmel relying on her skill and agility, April on her power and growing technical expertise.
A very close match was expected, and did not disappoint. At the start April had to remind the Ref to check her boots but this did not hold up the action for long.
It got going with twisted wristlocks. April soon reminded us that the Lancashire Terrier has a bit of Pitbull in the mix treating her opponent to a spot of rope choking and a knee to the belly.
One of Carmel’s moments consisted of 2 clotheslines followed by a dropkick. Having your opponent on your back and falling over backwards is a good way to bring matters to a head as one unlucky lady found out.
A great opening match.
Lisa Fury vs Nikki Storm
Pro-style Contest
How do you follow that? Well bring on the gorgeous Lisa and her attractive opponent Nikki.
In the opening stages a rear bearhug was neatly countered with a trip take down.
Falling over backwards can also be disconcerting for your opponent if you have her in a standing armbar.
One of the ladies found herself unexpectedly leaving the ring helped on her way by her opponent.
Soon we were reminded that Lisa’s attractiveness does not extend to her wrestling style.
A couple of throws must have lengthened Nikki’s hair by an inch or two and we were “treated” to Lisa’s signature ploy of keeping her opponent in the corner by placing her foot on her victim’s throat.
Said throat subsequently found itself on a rope with Lisa putting her foot on the back of Nikki’s neck.
Softening up continued with the nerve hold being applied several times.
However the match didn’t all goes Lisa’s way as a flying cross body showed that Nikki had not run out of steam
The match ended dramatically as one lady found herself hitting the mat face forwards before the inevitable 3 count.
Shelby Beach vs Mystique
Mat-style Contest
The next match which was mat-based featured Shelby Beach from The Wrestling Factory Stable with Mystique from the London Wrestling Studio.
Shelby Beach has it all, great looks, unmatched wrestling skills and a great track record but in this match she was up against an opponent who also has great looks and a real determination to win. It turned out to be a great combination, as each wrestler counteracted the others strong points Mystique's energy and speed pitted against Shelby's experience and knowledge, not to mention Shelby’s lethal body scissors. However a real to and fro match ensued giving Mystique the chance to show she is a dab hand with the chokes. The victory was hard earned but there were two submissions in fairly quick succession before the bell
.
Jenny Sjodin vs Sarah
Pro-Style Match
Next up Jenny is an all round powerhouse who is just at home in a Brazilian Ju-jitsu match as she is in a Pro-style match One of the Wrestling Factories Top Wrestlers she is willing to tackle anyone. However did this count against her, as Sarah is Pro-style specialist, always looking to take the match to her opponent. Certainly it didn’t all go Jenny’s way as straightforward moves like a side headlock or a backhammer with wristlock demonstrated. However Sarah was on the receiving end of Jenny’s headscissors and bodyscissors, not to mention her armbars. Any match involving Jenny is unmissable and this one certainly passes the test.
Layla vs Trixie
Mat-style Contest
Layla comes up against Trixie from the London wrestling studio in this hard fought match. Each of the girls go all out for victory with no quarter given or expected. Unsurprisingly, being sat on by Layla did present problems for Trixie but she could also find herself on top of Layla. Trixie delivered an effective choke on Layla from a piggy-back. Subsequently it was Layla doing the choking combined with a body-scissors. The match also included a nice headlock submission applied form bottom position. A valiant effort by both ladies!
Venus vs Cleopatra
Mat-style Contest
Venus from the Wrestling factory took on Cleopatra from LWS in this mat Based Submission match. Cleopatra is possibly the most experienced wrestler to come up with the LWS girls on this show so it was with great courage that Venus agreed to take her on. On paper Cleopatra should have had an easy win. She held the advantage early on with a figure 4 headscissors submission on her opponent. She probably underestimated the sheer guts of Venus who is determined to make her mark, so the fight didn’t all go Cleopatra’s way. Scissors featured prominently in this match and there were submissions linked to cross-body pins. It was good to see some holds applied from bottom position including a nice double arm lock, a headlock and a choke. In a hard fought match from beginning to end with neither wrestler willing to give any ground, there still had to be a winner.
Pippa L'Vinn vs Miss E Heartbreaker
Pro-style Contest
The ever popular Pippa L'Vinn then took on the ever noisy Blondish Bombshell, Miss E Heartbreaker. Veteran of a few shows at The Wrestling Factory Miss E is well aware of Pippa's reputation, so when she enters the ring saying she is going to destroy Pippa, alarm bells start ringing Has Miss E been in special training for this match, studying hours of video footage of Pippa's matches or has she been scheming with someone who holds a grudge against Pippa?
Early in the match Miss E found herself performing an unlikely headstand. Subsequently, once more the right way up Miss E was performing her usual chops and kicks when she had Pippa in the corner.
There were several counts of 2, one of which, preceded by an airplane spin should have been a count of 3 in my opinion. In the closing stages of the match there was some unwelcome audience participation which involved a non-standard piece of wrestling equipment.
Jenny Sjodin vs April Davids
Pro-Style Strike Match
Jenny vs April (Or the Unstoppable vs the Uncompromising). A really interesting and intense match this between two of the top Wrestling Factory wrestlers. Definitely the Mother of All Matches on this show. But what kind of match was it – mat style, pro style, who cares. It was non-stop action opening with some MMA style kicks. The MMA theme was continued as Jenny straddled April. However Jenny herself had to cope with April’s vicious ankle locks. The serious business certainly did not exclude pro-style moves. Headlocks and head scissors were in evidence and the only submission in the closing seconds came from a triangle and keylock combination which the victim felt for the rest of the day.
Miss E Heartbreaker vs Trixie
Mat-style Contest
Miss E Heartbreaker’s first foray into the world of Submission wrestling was an opportunity to see if there was any substance behind the bullshitting. Against a natural scrapper like Trixie this was never going to be an easy task. Indeed at the start the traditional Northern dismissiveness of Southern lasses was severely tested. Trixie’s grapevines in particular certainly tested Miss E’s legs! However as the match progressed the latter discovered that her pro-style experience could be used to good effect and a submission by Trixie to one of Miss E’s chokes was one of the upsets. By the end the match looked much more even than it had at the start.
Cleopatra vs Pippa L'Vinn
Mat-style Contest
Cleopatra from the London Wrestling Studio takes on The Wrestling Factories Pippa L'Vinn
Cleopatra enters the ring to great applause as does Pippa L'Vinn in this highly anticipated match
Both Ladies on top of their game at the moment and it will take a lot of guts and determination to win this contest
Both fighters start the match being very cagey, trying not to get caught out by a sudden attack
But the action soon comes thick and fast as both Ladies are not known for their being timid !
Tactics may have gone out of the window as each fighter goes for a pin or submission
This is not an easy match to call as a win is the goal for both wrestlers
There is a clear winner at the end of a hard fought match, find out who it is
Lisa Fury vs Shelby Beach
Pro-style Contest
Two great wrestlers go head to head in this excellent match
Lisa Fury from Liverpool vs Shelby Beach from Wigan
Shelby Beach and Lisa Fury need no introduction to avid Wrestling fans.
There is a great match in the making here, as both Ladies are amongst the very top Pro Wrestlers here in the U.K.
It's hard to guess the outcome here as you have the sheer power and experience of Shelby
Pitted against the equally talented and ring savvy Lisa
As you would expect, the action comes thick and fast with no-one having a clear advantage
It will take a special moment of inspiration to separate these two rivals, as they battle it out tooth and nail
A match for the real fans of Pro-Style Wrestling with two top drawer athletes, surely it can't get better than this ?
Mystique vs Jenny Sjodin
Mat-style Contest
Mystique from LWS takes on Jenny from the Wrestling Factory in this all action match
"Oh no ! I'm not fighting her !" said Mystique when her opponents name is called
Probably with good reason as Jenny Sjodin lives and breathes Wrestling.
Jenny's face is an indicator of how seriously she takes each match, with a look of determination and concentration
She takes to the ring to win !
Knowing this, the squeamish may think that Mystique would just go thru the motions and get this fight out of the way...
But no, not at all. Mystique gets stuck in with gusto and tries every trick in the book to put Jenny off her stride
With lots of verbals and a never say die attitude Mystique works her socks off against such a powerfull foe
Is this match an easy victory for Jenny ?
Or can Mystique bamboozle her opponent and put her off her Game ?
Elimination Rumble
Pro-style Contest

The last match on the show has Seven wrestlers pitted against each other to see who is left standing

As well as the established Wrestlers on show, look out for last minute entrant, young Georgina

In a match like this, anything can happen, so you have to have eyes in the back of your Head !
The merest lack of concentration can leave you in a heap on the floor outside the ring wondering how you got there !
